Course Overview

Menopause marks a significant transitional period in a woman’s life. In Chinese medicine, this change is a natural process deeply connected to the dynamics of Heaven and Earth and the extraordinary meridians. This lecture explores these perspectives to provide a comprehensive understanding and effective treatment strategies.

From a Heavenly perspective, menopause involves the relationship between Shen (spirit) and Jing (essence), representing profound transformation and inspiration. Pathologies at this level manifest as anxiety, depression, frustration, and insomnia, addressed by focusing on specific Shen and Jing points.

From an Earthly perspective, changes in Jing and the extraordinary meridians result in symptoms such as dryness, hot flashes, night sweats, and slowed metabolism. Practical treatment strategies for these symptoms are discussed, emphasizing the importance of balancing these meridians.

This lecture offers evidence-based protocols and current research to support these approaches. Attendees will gain tools, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of treating women during menopause, addressing both physiological and emotional aspects to support graceful aging and enhanced well-being.
