Course Overview

Most patients require internal healing and transformation. To promote change at the source of their disharmony, we need to understand the internal causes of their disease – the emotions. Chinese medicine offers a profound framework for understanding life, well-being, illness and suffering. Looking at the 5-element model, we can explain the functions of the elements in relationship to the Shen and their interactions.

Depression can be from an imbalance in any of the 5-elements, and each element gives us a different lens from which to view treatment strategy. In this course, you will focus on the accurate diagnosis and treatment of depression and learn how to facilitate healing in safe and unique ways.

It was a wonderful course, and I particularly enjoyed how Yair discussed the Chinese names and their meanings and appreciate his insight into the nature of depression according to TCM, and his ability to convey it with his warm and calm manner. Looking forward to more webinars with Yair!

Very inspiring

I liked the integrative approach, connecting the DSM-5 symptoms to symptoms in Chinese Medicine. The course helps to find the proper diagnosis and to choose correct acupuncture points for each type of depression. Thanks a lot!
