Communicating Acupuncture Evidence Effectively to Increase Professional Recognition

Course Overview

In the last two decades, acupuncture research remarkably developed at a twofold higher growth rate than biomedical research overall. While it is important to have this precious amount of acupuncture evidence published, it is also crucial that we communicate these findings effectively so we continue to increase professional recognition within the healthcare system.

This TCM Talk will provide you with examples of research papers you can use and how to use them in order to construct a successful evidence-based argument. You will learn how evidence based acupuncture will help you to communicate effectively and gain the respect and attention of other clinicians, health policy makers and the general public.

This TCM Talk has been produced from materials filmed at TAO. The TAO congress is an international congress organised by OGKA and held in Graz, every year around September.

Interesting and thought-provoking

This was an easy run-through of how to use acupuncture research, of which there is now a great deal, for communicating effectively with your clients, prospective clients and healthcare providers. Research can be an intimidating read and acupuncture terminology can seem like a foreign language to ‘outsiders’, so it was helpful to help reframe the communication of it for the benefit of your audience.

Sandro Graca’s presentation style is warm and thought-provoking. I enjoyed this talk.
